RealSea’s QSFP-40G-LR4 optical transceivers are based on Ethernet IEEE 802.3ba standard and SFF 8436 standard. The QSFP+ transceiver transmitter converts 4 input 10Gb/s electrical data paths to 4 CWDM optical paths and multiplexes them into a single 40Gb/s optical transmission. To the receiver, the module optically de-multiplexes a 40Gb/s input optical signal into 4 CWDM optical signals, and converts them to 4 output electrical data paths. The central wavelengths of the 4 CWDM channels are 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm.
